About the Opportunity 

​

Sproutwise is growing, and we’re looking for a People Operations Partner to help keep our clients’ HR systems running smoothly. From building policies and improving processes to troubleshooting platforms and streamlining workflows, you’ll play a key role in making HR more efficient for our client companies.

​

This part-time, demand-based role offers flexible hours based on client needs—perfect if you’re looking for meaningful work that fits into your life. Candidates must be based in the continental U.S., ideally in EST or CST time zones. If you’re tech-savvy, love building from scratch, and thrive in fast-moving environments, we’d love to meet you!

 

What You’ll Do

​

Keep HR platforms (HRIS, ATS, payroll, benefits portals) running smoothly—maintaining data integrity, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing configurations.

​

  • Manage payroll setup, including deductions, benefits contributions, and tax withholdings, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

  • Maintain employee records, process updates, and run audits to keep data clean and compliant.

  • Support automation and workflow improvements to streamline HR operations and reduce manual work for our clients.

  • Configure system permissions, manage reporting, and ensure the right people have access to the right data.

  • Generate reports, track key HR metrics, and assist with audits and policy updates.

  • Be the go-to person for system-related issues, escalating to vendors or IT when needed.

  • Handle sensitive HR information with discretion and accuracy.

 

What You Bring

​

  • 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in early-stage startups

  • Prior experience with payroll & benefits administration

  • Strong understanding of HR policies, compliance, and best practices

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in HR software like Gusto, Rippling, or BambooHR

  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt in fast-moving, ambiguous situations

 

Bonus Points If You Have

​

  • Experience with tools like Lattice, CultureAmp, or PEO platforms (Sequoia, JustWorks, Rippling, and TriNet)

  • Familiarity with international HR platforms (Remote.com, Oyster, and Deel)

  • Experience using Notion or Confluence to document and collaborate

  • Strong data analysis and HR metrics skills

  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.)
